Mango Malpua- Popular Indian Dessert

Summer are known for the abundance of invigorating fruit recipes that are prepared at home to beat the heat.Mango is one such fruit that is versatile even beyond our imaginaion. There are too many recipes we usualy prepare from mango. But today I want to share one of my fevorite recipe of mango dessert , which is ‘Mango Malpua’. For those who don’t know what ‘Malpua ‘ is- Malpua is a pancake served as a dessert  or a snack originating from the Indian subcontinent. The batter for malpua is normally prepared by flour, and water , milk, coconut,  sometimes crushing ripe bananas also used. Then deep fried in ghee or oil, and served hot after  dipped in sugar  syrup  after they are fried . Now talking about todays recipe here I am using wheat flour and semolina  instated of  refined flour . Curd Chicken


Dahi Chicken i.e curd chicken is one of the easiest recipes that I have made till today. You can serve it on special occasions and parties as well as weekend. Made with chicken and fresh curd with some basic spices.In my family Dahi Chicken is loved by almost all age member. We used to served it with Rice, but it makes an outstanding combo with naan, roti or paratha. If you are a chicken lover besides you want to make a easy yet tasty recipe then this recipe is just perfect for you.In this recipe I used fresh curd , which added healthy and creamy twist, besides it does not required much oil or butter. It is well known fact that curd acts as a great probiotic, also it helps in weight loss and more on.So one can add this recipe in their weight loss journey as cheat meal.

Make this Dahi chicken on your family get togather or in weekend lunch and impress all with your culinary skills.

Ingredients:

  1. 500 gm chicken ( curry cut)
  2. 200 gm fresh curd
  3. 4 small green chilli
  4. 1/2 tbs garlic paste
  5. 1/2 tbs ginger paste
  6. 2 large onion chopped
  7. 1 tbs garam masala powder
  8. 1/2 tbs coriander powder
  9. 1/2 tbs red chilli powder (optional)
  10. 2 tbs oil (any cooking oil)
  11. chopped coriander leaves
  12. 1/2 tbs turmeric powder
  13. salt to taste

How to make :

  • Take a large bowl,then add curd ,chicken,and half of the taken chopped onoin marinate the chicken pieces along with ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder , red chilli powder, and 1tbs oil and salt. Once the chicken pieces are properly marinated, keep them aside for 1 hours so that the flavours are well-absorbed by the chicken pieces.


  • Then, take a pan and add rest portion of the oil in it and heat it over medium flame.
  • Once the oil became hot add onions and saute till they become light pinkish in colour.

  • Once the onions get transparent, add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 10 minutes. Put the lid on and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Meanwhile check the salt. and also check the chicken,weather the chicken cooked or not ,finally chopped coriander leaves and chopped chilies.And garam masala powder.

  • Served it with rice or roti etc.
